Situation

With its sleek, angular lines the most important criteria for this project was to maintain its strong visual aesthetic.

The brief required all roof access and fall protection equipment provided to be as unobtrusive as possible with a key comment being: "Not only does it have to function well, it also has to look good."

 

Solution

Liaison between ourselves, the client and our SAYFA Accredited Installer was necessary to determine the correct look and feel required for the project.

The client was adamant that any access or roof top systems installed on the building were sympathetic to the surrounds and blended in so as to not detract from the design. Listening to their requests, the SAYFA production team applied various coatings and treatments to the products, colour matching them to suit the surrounds and ensuring that there was very low impact to the overall building appearance.

The TRAVEL8 Static Line Sleeve Connection also proved extremely beneficial enabling easy installation onto the ballast roofs.

With the installation of these systems, Victoria Police's Duty of Care has been upheld, giving them complete peace of mind when any workers access their roof tops or conduct work at height.
